THURSDAY, MAY 2010 ~ A few weeks ago we went into the classroom, it went so well we went back today to show the kids baby chicks that were hatched a few days ago, chicks that were a few weeks old and a full-grown laying hen. We got to answer lots of great questions for the kids, and some teachers too! If anyone is interested in having us come into your child’s classroom before the Summer break starts, just contact us here at the farm. Thanks, Kim |

MAY 2010 ~ Checking on a few injured birds we are keeping separate from the flock until they are all healed up. The larger hen has a hurt leg, and the smaller hen had some tail feathers pulled out...both are healing just fine. |
